Right my first question is where are all the obsidian/dragonglass weapons in 2.0?
I've looked in all traders and travelling merchants and cannot find a single obsidian weapon, no spears, arrows etc so where do we get them?
My second question ( I have already asked in another post but couldn't get an answer ) how are we actually supposed to fight the armies of the dead?
What I mean by that is say you actually find more dragonglass/valyrian weapons for your companions and vassals such as Randal tarly with heartsbane you still only have around 20/30 companions/vassals that can inflict damage on the hundreds of dead, its like walking into a slaughter.
So are we missing something? Does the fire arrows command actually work in battle now for our regular archers? Or is there some way we can better our odds?
I know you want this to be an intense feature but honestly at this point I'm getting tempted to turn the invasion off all together which puts me off the mod completely and I'm sure others feel the same so it kinda defeats the point of what you're trying to achieve.
Sorry if this feels like I'm digging, I'm just trying to figure out how you want us to play it and enjoy it still, thanks for all the hard work regardless.
The invasion does not start until at least 600 days. That's gives you 600 days to find weapons, test various things and prepare.
The whole point is to give the player an end game so it does not get boring and repetitive. Half the point is you finding out how to bath them, otherwise what's the point in me adding them? I may as well have not bothered with the extra code and just added a regular invading faction, which you all already know how to beat and it will be the same boring end game, which you can get in any other mod you play.
I added the option to turn them off in case people don't want the end game, in case they do just want the same warband experience they all already know without the challenge.
Thanks for the response, I get all that. So are you saying the weapons are in the mod and the ability to defeat them but you'd rather us find them ourselves than tell us? If that's the case that's fine, it just appears as though your dodging the questions a little regarding the obsidian weapons being found and the fire arrow command for troops working.
No, sorry im just extremely busy atm and currently have 100 questions to answer, most of them the same. :p
Once things die down a bit i can go through and try and answer everyone.
Though while i am here.
Some units have fire arrows automatically, so these units can be used.
The correct weapons are all in the game and obtainable.
Currently equipping normal units with these weapons is unavailable. Though im looking at different ways to do this in the future. I think it was talked about in another thread.
Okay good to know I will continue looking for them :p thanks for taking the time to answer, I was starting to dread day 600 not being able to find obsidian weapons and I don't like killing lords for weapons its just not me lol.
