Hi, I just download the mod directly from mod DB and just can't install it on my PC. Is some kind of program needed to do so? If so, where may I download it? Sorry for the ignorance, I'm new at this, but really hoping to play this awesome mod. Thanks.

You do not need any programs, except for something that could unpack an archive. Like the standard Winrar or 7-zip.
To install the mod you need to:
1) Download it.
2) Go to the downloaded archive.
3) Unpack it somewhere.
4) Unpacked data transfer into game's "Modules" folder.
5) The route should look roughly like this "...\Mount & Blade - Warband\Modules\A World of Ice and Fire"
After that, to play the game, like always, you open the launcher, but in the drop-down menu, instead of "Native", select "A World of Ice and Fire" and click play.
If you have problems at the launching stage, make sure you have "Load textures on demand" turned on (in options) and you have 4 GB of RAM or more (x64 Windows).
