Only option with Danerys is surrender or die?

I'm day 400 and she's finally arrived after I completed the Lord Vary's questline, handed it in to him and then got a prompt saying she had arrived and to come to Dragonstone to bend the knee. I arrive, all her vassals are there but she's not and there's no option to find out where she is through asking her vassals for her location.

I find her sailing around outside and there's no option to talk to her other than surrender or die or leave her in peace. I thought this was supposed to start a new faction?

Also as a side note, I'm at day 400 and no white walker invasion yet but everyone else says it happened before day 100?

It's a bug that is being worked on. The walkers come in sometime around day 700. Who owned Dragonstone when the Targaryens invaded? Were you apart of one of the factions the Targaryens decalred war against?

So far in the game I was a vassal of the North and destroyed the iron born, left them and merc'd for Dragonstone for a month, then ages later while just trading and growing my army I did the vary's quest line and this all happened.
I had no affiliation with any faction
Dragonstone was owned by Dragonstone still.

That's sad to hear, was really looking forward to being a part of them. Don't exactly want to fight her with her 2000 troops and 900 being unsullied lol.

Thanks for the info on white walkers, makes sense they come later. Won't they absolutely slaughter everyone as only a few have Valyrian weapons? Like even a small wight army would slaughter the biggest army if they have no weapons against them or am I wrong?

Yes, they do a lot of damage. Wights die to valyrian, obsidian and fire weapons. The White Walkers only die to valyrian and obsidian weapons. You can also defeat them with auto calculation but that's very damaging. Produno is planning to have a way to deal with them better in 5.0.
