Ships are indeed assignt to troop 9 that much is true, but as far as functionality... lets just say that the ships seem to just behave the way they want. I havent figured out yet how to manouver them or anything. I mean i did use the 'charge' command and the other boats (not the one i was on) would engage the enemy, but the boat i was on did not and was just sailing in some circles or something.

My advice is to avoid sea battles if you have more than 1 boat, becaue they are buggy in my opinion.

In taverns there are people who can tell you where you can find your companions if they leave your party. You have to visit taverns and ask around.

Help & Support / Re: Wildlings

I only played the newest version of the mod so i cannot compare but the wildlings are really, REALLY, very weak. So much so that taking their cities is super easy.

That is not the easiest way.

The easiest way is to modify a different companion to be your Jon Snow, via the export/import character feature. That way you can create yourself ANY companion character you wish.

Help & Support / Re: Targaryen Invasion and Varys' quest

Yes the only thing you can do is start a new game.

Then you can, with the use of cheats, recreate your characters levels, money, gear, etc, but you cannot recreate the political situation from your earlier game, or you cannot start from a given date you want.

Help & Support / Re: Culture Change
February 16, 2019, 11:15:56 AM
Im sorry but I have some bad news for you.

You CANNOT effectively change the culture of your faction.
I mean you can talk to your advisor and he will in theory change it, but it will not work. This is one of the big bugs in the mod i suppose.

As far as recruitment of a specific faction units. I figured out how it all works.

First most important think is your characters RELIGION. If you follow the Seven, you will be able to recruit from villages belonging to factions which follow that faith. If you have a different faith, then you should either change it (I only know you  can change to the faith of the seven in one of the septs). I havent played a Rhollor follower but i assume that would make you only be able to recruit from Essos. Similarly, if you follow the Old Gods, you get only recruit in the North.

Now, about the character ethnicity, it does play a role but not as you would expect. It sets what kind of troops you can recruit from your kindgom FOREVER.
So, if you are a Northener, you will only be able to recruit Northern troops from your villages, BUT if you have a lord of lets say formerly Westerland faction, and that lord is holding a castle and a village belonging to that same castle, the village will produce westerland troops and you can pick them up. HOWEVER, im not entirely sure if it will work this way each time, because im saying this based on the fact that some westerlander lords who joined my faction with their castles, gave me option to recruit westerlander troops from their villages, thats why i say it.

It doesnt matter what culture you set for your kingdom. It does nothing.

So, all the ethnicities have a specific troop type coded as what you can recruit, and only that. The only other option for different troops to be recuitable for your faction is what i described above with the westerlanders example.

So again, number 1 is the religion and that affects the most, and number 2 is your character ethnicity.
