It's also worth noting that having prisioners work in the mines/quarry will make you lose reputation every week.

A World of Ice and Fire / Re: Sansa

First off, I want to correct my first post. The situation where I joined Robb Stark's family which prompted the Stark women to spawn at Winterfell was a fluke, what happened was that a feast at Winterfell started at the time I did that, which misled me to the wrong conclusion. So, you can only meet the marriage prospects from any faction in a feast of that faction.

For example, Sansa and Arya Stark appear in a feast at Winterfell only, Cersei Lannister and Myrcella Baratheon appear in a feast of the Westerlands that is held at any location under Tywin Lannister's rule, he also must be in attendance for them to appear (this probably also holds true for the Stark women and those of any family/faction for the matter).

Some ladies might elope with you after your relation points are high enough, but usually it seems that the highest born they are the harder it gets to convince them, so to marry Sansa you need nobility status. Also worth noticing is that Tywin, for example, says that you're not in his faction so he won't let you marry his daughter, but if you are a noble of any faction that's not an enemy of the Westerlands, and your relation with him is high enough, he will let you court Cersei openly (still not sure if this works when you are in a neutral faction or need to be in a friendly faction specifically).

This part I'm not sure about, but ladies who are said to be adventurous, and who wish to be a man, are probably the ones who will elope into a marriage even if you aren't a noble. This is an assumption based on Sansa saying she doesn't want to lead a life of a hunted animal though, it's not something I tested yet. To find out if a lady is traditional and loyal to her family, or if she might elope with a commoner or disliked man, you have to ask around taverns/inns to the wandering bards. When you enter any inn, if there's a bard there you can ask him about rumours to get information on the ladies of the faction whose lands you're in currently. You can also ask nobles of any faction about the ladies in that faction but they won't always have all the useful information.

There's also a quarry in Essos, I think it's somewhere south of Quohor.

This isn't stupid at all, though there are some strange issues with companion units when the army they're in is defeated, like the "cloning". Those are mostly visual issues with very little impact in the game. Sure the Kingsguard are, in terms of canon, often used as party leaders at the crown's service, but the way the mod is done you can recruit companions of aby lord using the mod Tages Gray described. Hopefully the buggy stuff will eventually be polished to the point there are no such issues, but so far none of it is breaking the mod.

How do you give a book to your companions, and how do you get them to read a book? I have the manuals that give healing skills a bonus and I don't need those, Qyburn should be carrying them but I haven't figured out how to transfer stuff to my companions' inventory.

Short answer, you can't.

That sucks, so basically it's better to just use the ones that are readable and sell everything once it's done.

It also makes it easier for certain marriage prospects to spawn, I'm pretty sure you never see Sansa or Arya without affiliating with Robb first.

You still see them at feasts held at winterfell.

Maybe it was a bug, but in 1.3 as soon as I asked Robb to affiliate, I saw the names of his mother and sisters as NPCs at Winterfell. Then I made a mistake because I didn't select a banner when I became a lord I had to ask Robb to release me from my oath, so I could rejoin, but this made the ladies disappear. So unless it was something not meant to work in that way in the mod, that Produno removed, it's still hands down the easiest way to make contact with these highly sought marriage prospects.

But really guys, Ice is like a beast weapon, it might be fairly slow but it has spear-like, reach stats at over 140. And it's freaking cool, if you go on horse back you can actually see that the sword is as tall as your character if you have medium height, really puts the G in Greatsword.

That's your problem has H well said. Your army is unbalanced af, Unsullied are excellent spearmen and infantry, but you will not win wars if you have no archers and no cavalry, that's like unrealistic.

I see, btw does wildfire do any good vs white walkers?

If this is the mission you get from hollow hill, yeah, they spawn over near stoney sept, but can as far as I know wander to literally anywhere (probably confined to westeros, dont know how AI deals with boats) I always end up cheating on those missions, its too hit or miss finding them if you dont go immediately to the right place.

Haha, me too and without any shame, without the cheat to see all parties on the map I'd miss of those missions for sure and would keep getting more and more neg relationships with towns.

Btw, can confirm, after obtaining one for myself, that those Fireborn horse archers come equipped with warbows. They're so damn effective, I only had 3 and they always bagged a lot in any fight, recently lost 1 during a siege but I'll try to hunt down some banditry in Essos to get more of those. They are glass cannons with only the red priest robe and crappy sandals for armor but using them as backline snipers works perfectly for me.

When you play as wildling do you tend to recruit from non-faction parties such as northern clansmen or are you more pragmatical, less role player? The funny thing about some of these troops is, in terms of proficiency the northern clansmen troops really justify their high wage, same cannot be said for robber or exiled knights by comparison to regular faction troops, but they all come with shitty equipment. I mean even though it counts as a polearm, the hardened northern clansman, with all his skill, won't be much of a threat vs heavy cavalry of any type.

I only recruit my culture & mercenaries/non-faction. So veteran Freeriders, etc.

I'm a hell lot more practical, always chase after the best, though there are some niche units I like to use heavily, mostly elite archer troops and heavy cavalry with spears. But when I get to become king on my own do prefer keeping it simple like what you described.

The main thing it affects is your culture when you start your own faction, so Free Folk = wildlings from any villages you capture and so on. The only one I'm still unsure on is the Essos based one, as I've only just started a save with this starting culture. Free folk & north also get cool companions but that's it right now.

UPDATE : I strongly dislike the Essos troop tree.

If only it was Volantine, Tiger Cloaks have excellent archers and good infantry, and the cavalry isn't half-assed either.
