What's up guys, I thought i'd be the first to drop a post in this new section. Produno created this section for us to share our in game stories (however true or false, however legit or cheated) and I personally think its a great idea, so here we go.

One of my recent playthroughs focuses itself around The Shadow Prince, a mercenary captain out of the Free Isles of Essos. His father was a slave in Essos and so that's how he grew up as well, constantly a slave, under the foot of greater and richer men.

It was only when he reached adulthood that he decided to change things, he departed from Essos as quick as he could and gathered together a band of mercenaries to help him obtain enough money to recruit an army of Freeriders, enough Freeriders in fact to take him to the west, to the land of Westeros, a land where the lords are all fat and wealthy and where there is always good work for a mercenary of his caliber. Starting out with no knowledge of the local politics he joined forces with the first lord he approached upon landing at King's Landing in Westeros, that lord just happened to be Ser Devan Lannister within the Great Hall, this same Ser Devan signed The Shadow Prince into his first 30 day contract within Westeros, and may have doomed The Westerlands to ruin for what The Shadow Prince saw in his time fighting for the Westerlands, he did not like. The Westerlands were over-fond of using a brute called "Ser Gregor Clegane" a man that The Shadow Prince later learned to be nicknamed "The Mountain that Rides" Ser Gregor would spend his "free time" pillaging vilages & scaring villagers into joining his levy's, growing up as a slave The Shadow Prince, despite being a mercenary, did not prey on the defenseless, and his companions were like-minded. Seeing all of this occur he decided that The Westerlands was not the place for him, and worked out the rest of his contract battling around the area of Greywater Watch, heavily contesed by The Westerlands & The North. The Shadow Prince turned his attention towards the Riverlands then, though they weren't at war at this time they were more than happy to pay The Shadow Prince to patrol around their lands, keeping away the threat of war from The Vale, as The Riverlands had recently provoked them.

TO BE CONTINUED...

Per title, all of Joffrey's companions except the hound disappear from the game after his party is defeated. Also, you can put one more vote for Jaime just being made a regular lord who leads armies.

Love this mod, keep it up!

They don't disappear, as the post above states they usually fly around other castles as prisoners or just go into limbo until Joff is back.

v2.0 / Re: [2.2] Ship capture menu glitch

Version 2.2. Cheats were used once and turned off shortly after, only thing done is Ctrl+x-ing some money for roleplay purposes. The save was created in 2.2.

After winning a ship battle, and getting the menu about a free ship, a white cross appears in the lower left corner. First time, it was after fighting random looters.

Second time, it was after fighting letter quest poachers, after an error appeared in the log: "get_object failed for mesh: hacerbarco"

This has stumped me completely, and I would like to think myself semi-compotent.... Definitely one for Produno.

over 30 views and no one knows where to get it

I know it's available in the cheat menu if you re-do your menus.txt to enable find item. BUT. This may cause errors.

I conquered Kings Landing and employed all the masters of the council. However a few weeks later the Master of Whispers has disappeared. This is after I told him to hire people who intimidated even him. Also Kings Landing is my court and this is v2.0

Upgrade to V2.2, but as for the master of whisperes, speak to your minister or wife and you can "hire new staff members" and rehire the master of whisperers.

I tried this out yesterday and Ice is indeed in the chest by the weirwood tree in Winterfell.

I've found the chest but I cant seem to get Ice.
Anyone here knows what to do? Do I need to do a certain quest to obtain it?  :-\
Thanks in advance!

You have to have winterfell as your fief.

It also makes it easier for certain marriage prospects to spawn, I'm pretty sure you never see Sansa or Arya without affiliating with Robb first.

You still see them at feasts held at winterfell.

I dont think that the dire wolf is a great benefit. He has the speed of a lame horse and gets taken down very easy...
Its still something only they can get and then change cultures to get whatever troops they want, giving them an advantage, however minor, over other races. I just figure if some races get some bonus thing, the others should as well. Games singleplayer, so its not like it harms balance, mostly just seems strange to give two races racial bonus companion(s), one immunity to morale penalty over the sea, and  the rest, far as i can tell, nothing. Just my two cents on the matter.

I agree to am extent, that everyone should have something. But!

Free Folk & North have the weakest troop trees overall (in my opinion) and so rely on companions a lot more than other cultures. (Except Essos, I still think this troop tree needs a serious boost or changing to Volantis culture instead.)

My only advice is to delete your stream version and download the mod DB one. Steam workshop sucks.

You will have to wait for the next ship to pass and jump aboard that. Or you could cheat, but meh that's no fun. Here you already have the start to an awesome story ;p.

Speaking of which, I may open a sub board for people to share their playthrough stories. Could lead to some interesting reads.

I think the sub board playthrough idea is a brilliant idea, I'd love to share a couple of playthrough stories.

Enable cheats, use ctrl & left click to move somewhere else, then disable cheats again, this is the fastest way of doing it, and won't entirely break your immersion.

From Quartigar down south of essos to westeros.  90% of the time they do make it to their destination but it takes far longer than is necessary. Things like caravans work perfectly just not recruiters. On occasion they will get completely stuck though.

I'll send 2 out later and keep an eye on them as they travel, I'll try it a few times and see what happens to make sure it isn't just you.

If i send out a recruiter and it has to cross water it will constantly get stuck trying to ram the land. OR will travel up a random river and get stuck.

I don't tend to get this issue, where are you sending the recruiter from and for what troops so I can try and replicate?

I agree, Dire Wolf isn't great. Needs a buff to be as strong as the giants at least.
