No, i havnt posted them because i would prefer people to find them out for themselves. Each faction has their merits. Plus they are subject to subtle changes.

Im pretty sure the outposts can already be upgraded, though only once. I like the idea of being able to change stuff in your own outpost so i will likely work on this in the future. I hadnt thought about ships, nice idea, i may look into that too.

Some may have noticed we had a fake account created on ModDB with the purpose to downvote the mod and hurt its ratings. I guess in an attempt to deter others from playing the mod. Here is the PM i sent to a Mod on ModDB and his reply.

Hello,

Im not sure who to message about this but i saw your profile on the forums. If you are not the correct person to contact could you please correctly direct me where else to discuss this matter.

I would like to report a fake account that has been created to downvote my reviews for my mod. The account in Q is this one http://www.moddb.com/members/kelso24

Im not 100% sure but ive been tipped off it may be connected to this one: http://www.moddb.com/members/cozur

I made a post about it on my mod page here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/a-world-of-ice-and-fire/news/fake-reviews

Im not sure if you can check the logs of accounts, but you will see the account was created on the day they reviewed my mod with a rating of 3, to which they never logged back on until i posted my news update, at which point they reviewed the mod a 1 (i guess just to spite me).

Is their any chance the fake review could be removed?

Thanks
Produno.

Feel free to make of this what you will, but i think it speaks for itself.  If anyone sees more fake reviews then please report them to me so i can forward them to the ModDB team.

Hello mate.

Religion

Currently in the mod we have four religions.

The Old Gods
The Seven Faced God (The New Gods)
Rh'llor (The Lord of Light)
The Drowned God.

Every Village and Town will be part of a religion, this is determined by the 'majority' in that village or town. The majority is influenced by the Faction that owns that center, which means of course each Faction also belongs to a religion.

Upon game start you will get the chance to choose your religion, though choose carefully as this will directly influence your popularity within the towns and villages which in turn will effect who will be willing to fight for you. What this also means is you can 'convert' towns and villages to your own religion through different means.

Each religion has special characters that you can either find in certain places or travelling around to different locations.  These guys currently provide a way for you to gain reputation and relations bonuses through sacrificial means. If you see a drowned man and have some prisoners you can sacrifice them to the Drowned God for some relations bonus with the Drowned God religion and any factions that currently follow that religion. These NPC's also offer you the chance to convert to a different religion plus many other things. You can also find several parties roaming the map that you can also interact with, or maybe just slay on the battlefield if your that way inclined.

Theirs much more to the religious system in A World of Ice and Fire Modification that i havnt mentioned yet or indeed added (which it will be forever added on). So you can see it plays a very important part within the mod and whatever religion you choose will directly impact your gameplay tactics, decisions and how the world will react to you and of course who will fight with or against you.

This is just one of the many features in the mod that will fully immerse you within the world of ASOIAF. To download the mod please check out our moddb page (look for A World of Ice and Fire).

Please note this writeup is only applicable to version 0.5.0+

A World of Ice and Fire / Re: Update
April 08, 2014, 08:58:17 AM
Ok a little update for what ive been working on for the past couple of days.

Kingslayer.

As you all know you can kill Lords and Kings in this mod. Want payback or fancy wiping out the Lannister bloodline? No problem! - Ive made some specific changes to the way this works for V0.5.0 which i will note below.

Note: Depending on how much honour the person your killing has will effect how much of each attribute you loose.
When you kill a lord you will loose relation with every other lord or king, after all you are now known as a kingslayer, or a lordslayer i suppose :). Will the same fate behold them or not?

You will only loose relation with any factions you are already at war with. You will also have a big hit against the faction of the Lord or King you killed. Of course though the Nights Watch wont care, you may well be joining them soon ;).

Later i will enable being able to kill all NPC's in the game, but this will take time to implement and no doubt alot of testing.

Religions.

Ive also spent alot of time re-working the religious system. Ive added new npc's for the already two new religions i added. You can also perform different sacrifices. For instance go see a Drowned man with some prisoners and you may have the chance to drown a couple for some relations bonus.

A little on Wandering Crows.

Wandering Crows will wander randomly around taverns South of the wall in Westeros. Prisoners you sell here will be sold for much less, but you will gain some honour and some relations bonus with the Nights Watch. Of course if the Wildlings have grown strong and wiped out the nights watch, expect the wandering crows to also be gone. So you best keep check on them.

Bugs and stuff ...

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to test the mod. Any bugs you post here are definitely appreciated.

Secondly, take a look at the update preview either on these boards or on the moddb page. You will see most of the bugs you reported have been fixed, any others i will get sorted.

Thirdly, would probably be better if you could start your own bugs thread ;).

Thanks again.

I think this is a side effect of another bug i think ive now fixed. The bug was a problem with the code for the nights watch faction, so i think thats why funky things were happening.

On another note the nights watch will only be able to go to war with the wildlings in the next version. And obviously the player too.

I may try and see if i can code a trigger so i can stop everyone else going to war with the wildlings unless the nights watch ever gets defeated.

March 28, 2014, 09:17:09 PM
Good job here, thanks guys!!

11. Occurred once while enlisted: Lord besieged a castle -> player chose Join Battle -> text showed, "enemy escaped but siege continues" -> player is brought back to choice menu (join, desert, etc). Basically, I had to click join battle more than 20 times before the battle was actually joined. Let me know if this is unclear, Ill describe it more.
--I'll update again during the weekend--

Any idea what Lord and which Castle?

Yeah, that was an error on my part. Ive fixed them for the next version. I messed a few things up in the last update in my haste to release it. This time ill spend a bit more time testing i think!

I have already fixed huge amounts in this next version though. Ill post a preview of the changelog when i get home from work, you can see whats fixed and whats not then.
