Its a pathing issue, as normally when you try to get to Qarthigar from the main land of essos you cant just click on the castle, it will just run you into the city of Volantis to go by sea most of the time.

The only answer I can give is if she is willing to follow you maybe you can lead her away from the castle into the main land? Unlikely to follow you sadly if she has no troops

Which castle is she stuck at? Qarthigar?

I have seen it before where you give a companion a castle across the sea, but they dont have any points in sailing master so they cant actually get to it.

I also experience this, the truces for the player faction never seem to expire.

Not playing in static mode.

I have not had a single crash in weeks of playing, following settings I use:

Force Vertical Sync
Load Textures on Demand
Texture Detail 60
Antialiasing off
Shadow qaulity low
Battle size: 300 or below


This may or may not help, I used to get alot of crashes when I put my battle size even slightly above 300 as I dont like the constant rienforcements mechanic, but it lead to it being a lottery on whether it would crash after a siege.

Did someone break the wiki page?

I had this once and had to give marshall to someone else and it fixed it straight away.

Current version is 4.3.4, is that what you meant or are you playing a slightly older version?

That castle seems to be a bit strange when it comes to pathing, so it could be that she cant find a way on land... Its just an idea though.

If you try and get to that castle from a distance in my experience it just runs me into the sea end at volantis

Is the castle you awarded her across the sea and she has no sailing master skill?

I always assumed you had to be king to recruit the kingsguard and have told people this when they had asked...

But in my most recent playthrough I rescued the kingsguard who were held captive in a lords party (I wasnt the king), I was given the option to ask them if they would like to join me, all refused but 1 of them accepted.

So I guess its just pot luck, Im assuming you winning tornies held in Kingslanding when Joffrey is king helps as you get + relationship with all the kingsguard and gives you a better chance of recruiting them when you save them.

They are troops in the book version, if you select TV show they arent in it.

Owning Kings Landing gives you access to the kingsguard armours, any other faction you need to have a high relation with them to access the faction shops.

I will do my best to answer these from my experience in playing through the mod countless times.

- As far as im aware they work normally like any other companion being made a lord, but I have to admit I havent done it yet in this current version, but it worked for me in the past.
- The strange combination of comeback lords has always been present, like you I've had tywin leading the Dornish and other strange things.
- It is possible to save Robb but very difficult, the only way I've managed to do it is saving before going in and trying and trying countless times, but it is possible.
- Yes it is impossible to marry Daenerys, she counts as a man with a female skin.
- Free Folk are indeed useless, other than Thenns which are a useful troop against the WW as they use dragonglass wpns.
- Again they are useless but thats only in an actual played out battle, in terms of autocal they arent that bad.
- I have had the North defeated in the past, so im assuming that must have just been a bug for you.
- The truce expiration thing has/had been a bug for a very long time, it has been fixed multiple times but still seems to happen... I think nowadays it may only be a visual bug and you wont lose reputation... but someone can correct me on that.


I am not part of the dev team or anything like that but i'll share my insight on your suggestions.

- Unsullied are I find already strong enough, but I do agree that maybe the cost should be adjusted but thats just my personal opinion, around 120k sounds right to me.
- I disagree, with the companions giving us so many other skills, we should have a reason to need to go into charisma etc.
- You can convince honorable lords to come to your side, you just also need to have a good relation with them yourself.. its not easy but its not meant to be, they are honorable for a reason.
- Im not sure what you mean here sorry
- You got sortof have a notice period, in the fact that they have a terrible relationship with you in most cases.
- Asking them to join your side if you happen to be the king is the same thing really, just different wording... you can just imagine in your mind you've asked them to bend the knee :p
- Yes and no, you have to have a very small party size to get alot of good loot from a large battle or high tier battle and (correct me if im wrong) I think companion characters take a much larger share than normal units so having those with you also works against you.
