Yeah, so far I've only seen one feature that is massively dependant on reputation, at least it was the only stat that kept increasing until I managed to get something out of it, there's an NPC at the Crossroads Inn called Travelling Merchant who always says he has some secrets but he doesn't tell you since he doesn't know you enough.

So I related it to reputation or renown, almost certain it's reputation, and after achieving over 200 reputation (a little more than 200, don't know the exact treshold but about 200-230) forward, he actually told me a secret. Turns out he tells you about the valyrian steel smith in Qohor, the only advantage being you don't pay for the info, which is unconsequent by the time you have enough rep for him to tell you. The interesting part is that I then prodded this NPC for more "secrets" and he says I'm not persuasive enough. It might be a dead end, but it's worth trying to raise rep continuously in case he actually says something of greater value later on.

Requirement for the sword in qohor is 700 renown, you can ask any tavern keeper.

There is still of course the theory that it does not exist at all, that lightbringer is as false as Melissandres claims that Stannis is Azor Again reborn.

Exactly what the title says, I've been scouring forums for the answer. I got a thread on reddit saying that you have to capture all the lords from that faction to effectively defeat it. Idk, what is the correct way to defeat a faction and extinguish it permanently after you capture all its fiefs. Maybe I'll find out by the time I check this thread again. But if someone answers this meanwhile I'll be very grateful anyway.

Playing Static wars you have to send every lord to the wall or kill them all. On static lords never change factions unless the player persuades them to join their own.

So... Here is the thing, I brought my 500 brave elite northern boys north of the wall to hang out in the Lands of Always Winter...

And.. Speed dating happened.

60 or so Wights, a few Wight Giants and a White Walker. I'm like : " Yeah ! Happy Meal and Glory ! "

The battle lasted 7 minutes

More than 400 men died and only 11 Wights died from my valryrian sword. No one was killed by my men.


So, here is my question : In the lore, Wights does not need valyrian steel/obsidian/wildwifre to be killed... Why a man with a two-handed steel battle axe can't kill a Wight ?

The idea of the wights was to make it very difficult for players. I agree they're maybe a bit OP, but you can always use fire arrows.

So i am at war with Renly (own kingdom) and he hunts me to my castle. I don't want to fight him on a open field. When i approach my castle i just "wait here some time". Then i try to organize my garrison, Then he just "halt" and i have to fight him on a open field outside the castle. So immediately when i cancel "wait here for some time" i am not in the castle anymore?

Yeah, I've got them on the updated version, BUT...

Brienne does not like Pod. She just doesn't dislike him.
Pod does however like Brienne.

It's hard to imagine I would have deleted it because I never even use the discard menu. Selling by mistake is also unlikely because of the high price that would at least prompt the 'they can't pay full price' message. But, you never know for sure.
I'd really like to enable cheat menu and use it to add the crown back. Can anyone explain how to edit the menu.txt file to do it?

Please be aware bugs and or crashes may happen as a result of activating cheat menu.

As for getting the King's Guard under command I posted earlier in Re: [2.2] Joffrey's Kingsguard disappears after defeat, this post covers the process in accomplishing this feat.  The bug is that if you strip them naked they get a free pair of boots on them after you close the window (I think it is wonderful free boots equal to plate armor boots is a welcomed treat) I am just pointing out a potential exploit that is not intended to be there.

Yeah thanks, i had read your comment about warbows earlier. Sadly im lik 180 days in atm and bandit parties are super rare. XD

Also to answer the original post, longbow has further range but short bow can be used from horseback.
