Just a suggestion for Produno, to fix this issue permanently, which is to remove the quest fail companion option entirely and move it to no food, no money, running from battle, and attacking the defenseless.  While this may prove to be a headache, it would remove this problem of trying to make it to a far away location in an impossible time frame.

Roughly 23 or so times, he is a random occurrence sometimes I can pick him up week one, other times it takes up to 6 months.

Her father is very obviously dead...  so no way (as of yet) to marry her with permission.  You will need high persuasion to convince her to run off with you.

Kurleket is a random occurrence, just like finding a bag of stags whilst taking a @#$%.  I usually pick him up running between Winterfell and King's Landing, but there is not definite trigger.

I just replicated this, the only way I got replication is if I did not exit the Tavern after turning in the quest to Rory.  In previous versions this gave you negative faction for the Iron Islands. This is kind of like the bug where you go down relationship every time you talk to Beric of the Brotherhood if you did not bring back the book...

v2.0 / Re: Weird troop bugp

In Static Wars the treaties never count down because diplomacy is frozen.  You can activate normal mode and the treaties will start counting down.  Are you recruiting prisoners, I had an issue like that before and it was because the soldiers I had were recruited from my prisoner pool.  Even after I took them to a fine establishment for women and booze, they skipped on me....

I think they are trying to quote something from Bran Stark which someone put on the TV show wiki, which is not an accurate quote.  The quote from Catelyn:

"She could see the rippling deep within the steel, where the metal had been folded back on itself a hundred times in the forging. Catelyn had no love for swords, but she could not deny that Ice had its own beauty. It had been forged in Valyria, before the Doom had come to the old Freehold, when the ironsmiths had worked their metal with spells as well as hammers. Four hundred years old it was, and as sharp as the day it was forged. The name it bore was older still, a legacy from the age of heroes, when the Starks were Kings in the North."  It does not mean it was not taken there to be reforged;)

v2.0 / Re: (2.2) Kings Guard Boot Bug
October 09, 2017, 08:26:42 PM
As for getting the King's Guard under command I posted earlier in Re: [2.2] Joffrey's Kingsguard disappears after defeat, this post covers the process in accomplishing this feat.  The bug is that if you strip them naked they get a free pair of boots on them after you close the window (I think it is wonderful free boots equal to plate armor boots is a welcomed treat) I am just pointing out a potential exploit that is not intended to be there.

v2.0 / (2.2) Kings Guard Boot Bug

I have been running around with the King's Guard under my command, I was changing out their outfits and every time I closed out the equipment menu and opened it back up they would have a new pair of boots.

We have all watched the series, quite a few of us have read the books, so here is the question, which sword is Lightbringer?

Now, this is where things get interesting what do we know of the original hero that defeated the armies of the Night King...
We know that:
A) All stories in the lore agree he was from the North. (Winterfell as a name of a castle indicates something even more important, this was the place the Night King was originally defeated, because WINTER FELL.)
B) We know from lore the hero makes Lightbringer through folding the metal over 100 days and thrusting it through the heart of his beloved, giving Lightbringer a soul.
C) We know the blade burned of an other worldly power, that did not burn the hero, but all others agree in lore burned hot and furiously in the hands of the hero sparking comments against Stannis's sword being the true Lightbringer.
D) Only one sword has massive importance in its fate....

My vote is Ice as Lightbringer this is why:
A) It is the only radically different sword from all other Valyrian swords, first it size would indicate a more intensive process in creation.
B) Why would you give it the name "Ice" referring to a temperature... This means something happened that it lost something that made it hot...perhaps the sword's soul stopped burning on the death of the original hero making it "Ice."
C) Tobo Moht has reforged numerous Valyrian steel swords, but all of a sudden when he makes "Widow's Wail" and "Oath Keeper" something goes drastically wrong in his process of dyeing the blade red as ordered by Tywiin Lannister.  Instead both blades maintain the primary coloration of "Ice," which only indicates that "Ice" is unique in away that no other weapon he has ever worked on.
D) Ice's pieces are being tracked actively in both the book and TV series.  They make a point of this...  With Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth both headed to the North the blade is running its course to be reassembled for the Prince that was promised.

Killing Lords should have its own forum room, this subject has been brought up so many times it probably takes up about half of the space in the forums alone.  I vote we start a whole room and call it "I KILLED A LORD AND THE CONSEQUENCES ARE TOO SEVERE!!"

Killing lords is a serious indicator of how you do business. If you can't be reasonable and at least send people to the Wall, why would anyone try to negotiate with you?  You do not even uphold the tradition of ransoming them back, which puts you just above the kind of scum that would kill an invited guest in their own home.  You did not even give the poor guy a trial you just slit his throat... are you wearing his armor or swinging his sword?

Yeah, I think people recognize you for who you are a killer of a defenseless man who was your prisoner and a thief, bad enough you are an upstart after the throne not even born a prince....   SHAME......<CLANG>.......SHAME ;D

Yep, war bows for the win, until I get them all looted I will run with short bows so my companions can use them on horse back. Would be cool as hell to have wierwood bows though....

Anytime you are knocked out on the battlefield you will lose 10 renown and since you are still considered a "leader" you will incur a morale penalty.

Alright let me try to shed some light on a few things you mentioned.  First, the King's Guard is a NEUTRAL FACTION, meaning they do not belong to the Westerlands, they belong to the King of the Iron Throne.  This is a feature that Produno has been trying to figure out for a considerable amount of time, it is very complicated, it improves with every mod version, and I appreciate his efforts to try to create this feature.  It will eventually be fully developed. Are you using the Steam or Mod DB 2.2?

I assume this is an issue for you because you want to recruit them to your banner.  Let me explain away to do that and it has been successful for me during my play through.  First, you need to make friends with Joffery, I know many hate this idea, but it makes the treachery we are about to embark on even sweeter...

Convenience Joffery to attack deep into the Stormlands, because you want his army annihilated and the Kings Guard to be captured.  You want to be a mercenary or a vassal of the Westerlands when you do this since you will need to be able to attack the Stormlands.  After Joffery is defeated, you will want to attack the armies in the field with the Kings Guard as prisoners. (note: this fails if you rescue them by taking a castle)  Once you destroy the Stormlands army with them as prisoners, you will get a dialogue option to recruit them to your cause.  They will not all accept this kind offer, but some will.  You will have to repeat this process up to 8 or even 9 times.  You will lose relations with Joffery every time he gets annihilated on your "suggestion" but this can be negated if he does the suicide run on his own or if you rescue him from captivity.  You can not initiate this process if you are the attacker of Joffery, because you are assaulting the king when you attack (Note: You can not be an enemy of  Westerlands though Joffery can dislike you), it has to be strictly rescue.  The King's Guard will become companions that you can equip, level up, but they will not be able to become lords.
