Sorry to piggyback, but I'm also having this exact issue on beta 0.9, latest version of warband. I don't have as much renown (A little over 500) but I still can't buy the sword. Is this a bug or is there something else I'm missing?  :)

Everytime I've been too him To try buy a valyrian sword he starts telling you about how the swords used to be made and asks if you are interested in one, then when you click continue he just says "actually never mind" I thought it was because of renown but I have over 2000 renown and he still says it. Wondering if anyone could help?
