Dire Wolve

So i read u need be Northern Culture and found de Dire Wolves Den.
I do both. I got the Message: Dire Wolve joined you.
But in my Party Screen is no Dire Wolve.
Is this a Bug or do i something wrong?

He accompanies you on the battlefield. He's not exactly noted in your party. The same way dogs work in VC.

And how exactly work Dogs in VC? I didnt know VC.
Yeah i see he is acompany me, but means that i cant Lvl him Up and i cant see what his skills are?
Because to me the Dire Wolve seems preety weak loses even 1v1 against a Peasant o.o
Would you mind explain it a bit more detailed?

Well, when strolling through a town, you can interact with him.
Providing him with different types of food increases his stats accordingly.
Unfortunately I can't list what each food does from the top of my head, you're gonna have to Google it.

Food for Dire Wolf:
-Pork "You look malnourished have some pork."=HP
-Sausage "You are wounded have some sausage."= Full wound recovery after battle
-Dried Meat "Have some dried meat for your teeth."=Attack Power Increase
-Beef "This will increase your strength"=HP
-Deer Meat "This will increase the strength of your bite."=Attack Power Increase
-Chicken this increases the speed of your dire wolf companion.

But which effect will have Pork and Dried Meat?
Sausages seems like it will heal or give him more health but this two i dont know o.o
