You have to be the King yourself, so you have to own kings landing for a small period before it declares you the current king.

Then you can recruit them when you rescue them

Version 4.2

Joffrey lost King's Landing and 4 of his Kingsguard imprisoned in a castle. Then I rushed and took the castle and take them into custody to recruit when the time comes. When I spoke them there is not any recruit button, then I take the King's Landing to give a try but nothing happened. Is there a problem or we can just recruit them right after siege?

Also, the ones accepted to join me didn't in party. I think 4.2 is broken.
