Mod will not open

When i open warband with the mod enabled it opens onto the native loading screen then closes without my doing anything.
Im running version 8.6 of the mod on a 2014 macbook air with OSX Yosemite version 10.10 and running mount and blade through steam.
All other mods and native are working fine.

You need to install 8.5 first and then 8.6.

I downloaded 8.5 then copied 8.6 into the folder
also there are only 5 things in the textures file, is that normal or did it download wrong
