Adding Valyrian steel weapons

I have a question. How do i introduce my own valyrian steel weapons i used to just copy the whole item kinds 1 entry and replace name and model but now my weapon does not deal damage to white walkers. I also noticed lamentation and probably red rain also deal  no damage to wights even though they should. How do i add them?
