I had the same experience and decided to try saving the last "save" I had by copying it to a different folder I have not had the occasion to see if it works but do not see why it wouldn't

My saves are crashing the game, I was 250 days in to the game but dont want to redo all that. So I am wondering if some one could send me a save with enough right to rule and a fief :)
