I have changed the current Beta 10 to Beta 9.8. Once released this will be Beta 9.9. The reason being, I would like to fix up everything before moving onto the extra features. Lately I don't have much time to work on the mod so may end up cutting some features from the final build and adding them later as patches or DLC.

My main concern atm is changing anything that is left to correctly represent the ASOIAF universe and fixing any bugs or inconsistencies. I shall be uploading a build to this post later for people to try. But if you do download then please make sure you post as much feedback and as many bugs as possible to this thread. This is very important so they next release can be as bug free as possible.

Beta 10 will therefore have everything changed to correctly fit the setting. Then when time allows I will start working on dlc for the mod, which will include the big features I had planned.

Changes

Removed some un-needed items and textures, updated others.
'Unify' UI textures and backgrounds.
Added higher quality Westerland banner textures.
Added new scene props including commissioned Weirwood trees.
Adjusted Veteran Unsullied armour so they don't fall into the heavy armour category.
Buffed all upper tier soldiers. This fixes problems with some soldiers having less skills than lower ranked soldiers due to armour penalties.
Created faction specific trumpeters and distributed them into lords armies.
Removed religious troops from lords armies.
Made some more optimisations to meshes and shaders. Added lods etc.
Spellchecked more files.
Added 5 new trainers to certain locations to recruit faction specific troops.
Added a new companion - Dialogue created by Kokalo.
Added 10x new helmets and 1x sword made by Kraggrim - donated by robertidaniel.
Adjusted length of Longclaw.
Adjusted length of Ice.
Valyrian swords now do bonus to shields.
Added some new companions for some lords.
Adjusted some character creation stats.
Adjusted the amount of Wildfire you can purchase.
Buffed Wildfire slightly.
Adjusted the after battle options to be dependant on religion.
Re-written the after battle options if fighting in a lords army.
Buffed the wildling tower shield very slightly and made it much larger.
Thenns now have their own army composition and troop tree.
Added some extra music.
Replaced interior and prison scene for Antlers.
Added VC code for Hornmen so they actually do something now. - animation still needed.
Added new logo created by Kokalo.
Added 6 more castles.
Added 6 more villages.
Adjusted the cost of troop upgrades. lower level cavalry may be slightly higher to upgrade but all higher levels are much much cheaper to upgrade.
Adjusted angle of every map icon.
Balanced all headwear.
Thenn peasants are recruitable via certain villages.
Changed the way party size works - properties owned by the player now increase max party size.
Added new scene for Iron Mine.
Added new scene for Gold Mine.
Added Shaunremo's skybox mod.
Added weather script to the rest of the mission templates. Weather will be applied to every scene now.
Improved fps in Kings Landing.
Re-wrote harbour code and added scenes to each.
Added 99 new custom battle scenes. No more mountains on flat terrain.
Changed the way bribing the village elder works. This cannot be done if you have low honour. It will also not revert you to the 'supplies' menu.
Removed the quest Old Valyria until it can be bug fixed.
Gave all major cities extra garrisoned troops. This will give the player a better challenge when trying to take key locations.

Fixed Crakehall scene - entering prison.
Fixed issues with agents wearing incorrect clothes at weddings.

Just more of a suggestion; I think you could add more town-ish scenery with all this extra room in Winterfell's courtyard. Or just remove it, whatever works.  - You shouldnt actually be able to get to this part, it should be hidden. Mind showing me places that makes it accesable so i can 'block' those?

-I'm not crazy about the idea of Lord Edric Dayne. I know he is the current lord of Starfall, but at this time he is only 12 and accompanying the Brotherhood Without Banners. Just a personal preference.   - Any other suggestions? Not at the moment, but I will be updating this report as I go on.

Aside from this so far, it's looking good. I love some of the new armors you added such as the Bolton sallet.

After hours and hours of your Mod in the v. 9.6 i didnt had the problem with Old valyria. "Removed the quest Old Valyria until it can be bug fixed."  what kind of bug is it? - i know, that the menue allways and repeatly appears ( leave this place or claim it) but i just clicked on "leave it as it is" the second time after rebuilding it. so.. thats a solution for me.


i guess you just need to add a new option like "just leave" or something.

This is armour merchant in Weeping Town. He and his colleague in Dragonstone seems to have some sort of obsession over this black burgonet's since 0.6 if not earlier. To them it's like butter to Swadians.  -SHOULD BE FIXED

BUGS
The Night's Watch offers a mercenary contract option. Makes it sound like when you swear their oath, it's not for life. (Also, as a side note, I would try to make their lords include a freelancer option only AFTER you tell Jeor Mormont you wish to join the Watch).

Oldtown not only seems abandoned, but has buggy spots. Also, if you could improve the city structures as well, that would be nice, since it is one of the most advanced towns in Westeros. Missing that famous hightower as well. Also, if you can, the books also mentions of a statue of the Targaryen King Daeron I.

Oh, and in some castles/towns such as this (such as the Dreadfort), when exiting the Lord's hall into the courtyard, it will take you directly outside the city/castle, so you have to come in again. I don't have the full list of all the locations this occurs in, but I will keep an eye out. I would advise other players do the same.

I feel like while the new Bolton sallet is nice, it still looks rather jagged, and not smooth like in the TV show. Could this be fixed at all?

Greywater Watch is famous for being in a swamp-like environment, always seeming to move from one spot to another. Granted, whilst this looks swamp-ish, it still looks very much like a Brytenwalda fort. Maybe i'm just being nitpicky at this point, so ill let you take a look and make your call.

SUGGESTIONS
-I took another look at the men of Greywater Watch, and I think that there could be room to have the crannogmen be a special House troops. They are known for dressing in poor swamp-like attire and fighting with "bronze knives, frog spears, and round leather shields." What they lack for in armor, they can possibly make up for in weapon proficiency, no?
You could either do that OR
make them travel in small bands like the mountain clans (their relationships with other kingdoms coinciding with that of the North as well), and have them placed close to the Riverlands, should any Westerland Lords come North, because Robb stated that "I've sent word to Howland Reed, Father's old friend at Greywater Watch. If the Lannisters come up the Neck, the crannogmen will bleed them every step of the way." A Game of Thrones, Chapter 55, Catelyn VIII.

-Another idea is a possible freelancer challenge-quest; I know the Kingsguard during the reign of Robert Baratheon were mostly trash, but I still feel that maybe there should be an option when talking to the King (whoever rules King's Landing if it's not Joffrey) to join their Kingsguard. The King can then only accept you if your strengths/agility and/or your proficiencies in certain (or all) weapons are high enough. This is just me spit-balling here, so let me know what you think.

Again, after on-and-off playthroughs of the new version, this is all I could find for now. PM me if any of the details are still unclear. I am also available through steam (same name, Legendarian). And again, nice work so far man.  ;D

 i could put a screenshot with it, but i guess its not very important:

if you choose to be a targaryen male/female in the character creation, you will find Crownlands "guards" in the towns of the faction you join, even as mercenary.

this bug was even there in the previous versions.

I too have the same problems as these a lot of diferent errors acure during the game. But my game crashed 2 times. It all happen whan i fight and whan the last enemy die game crashes and i get the msg. CDR ERROR Invalid opcode - 2147483648

my first impressions:

- Sieges Freefolk are ok. No Bugs.

- Generally, you now spend even more money to make a good Party. For Example: Before beta 9.8, an Ironborn Maurader cost 750d to upgrade. Now it costs 1375d. Considering all westerosi troops, the ironborns are better only than the wildlings. If the player chose Ironborn in the character creation, he will spend much more money. Basically, only factions with a high level soldier are cheaper. In other words, Vale/Reach/Westerlands are even better, while Ironborns, Dorne, Stormlands are even worse.

the more i play the more time the game crashes. every 5-10th fight the game crashes.

About the money cost yes the upgreads are expensive, but the wages are OK i think. 1 needed some 200 days to buy 9 dye workshops to give me some money (but only way to get enough money is to fight turnaments)

one more thing
i have a village. i stationed there 50 villagers and 90 squairs. After some time Dawos came with 33 man company (i am westerland) and raided my village. How does garrison in the villages work? normaly if there are more man than in his company he were not supposed to raid it. they didnt fight at all after i got the msg your village was raided Davos still had 33 man company. (i was close by and test if the garrison would hold and watch all the time)

crashes occur during the battle scene.
when the last enemy is killed the game crashes.
I was playing as a westelands and the crash ocure when i was fighting or robber knights, mountain clan, stormlands and vale. (for now)
If i loads a save game and fight the same party it crashes every time.
i was fighting 180 strong party first battle i killed 170 the second battle the game crash. When i reload it crashes every time, But if for the second battle i decide an option that my troops fight and i stay behind (automatic result) its ok and the game works on.

one other time i was fighting a group of robber times. It was a group of 5 and after the last dies the game crashes. I reload and play no after 50 days i again found these party and the game crashed again after the fight. Maybe something happens with specific partys... because i am able to fight other normaly.

Working fine for me, just tried.
Mediafire permission denied is a temporary ban for downloads if the file has been downloaded a lot in a short time. Just keep trying.
I'll create a mega mirror in a few minutes when I finish the download and post it here.

1.-Just started quest with the raven for king baratheon. When I encounter the poachers ans tell them I won't give them the raven I lose honour, why? It's an honorable thing what I've done (in fact when I kill the poachers I get honour). Giving them the raven should make me lose honour.
Westerlands hate me because I helped stark forces on king's landing, the most honorable thing I can do is not giving the lannister poachers the raven, imho

2.-Mail chausses (crude in this case) don't appear as medium or heavy equipment, but wearing it makes me lose 1 point of athletics, attached 2 pics.

9.8.1 has a problem with the Bounty Hunter system. Every Time I ask about the existence of bounty posted recently, the tavern keeper anwsers telling there is not bouties posted recently. I t happens at all Inn I visit.


Some banners are also inccorrectly, but this is a minor problem. Lord Rykker of Westerlands, Lord Horpe of Dragonstone and another Lord I don't remember now share the same banner. There is another lord of dragonstone that shares his banner with Freefolk.

Any change you could look though the character screen and list which ones?

About Ser Justin Massey, he really has the correct banner, but his banner is very similar to the one used by free folk.

A completely white banner for free folk would be a good idea. After all, they've been at war against the Night's Watch for thousands of years and the Crows use a black banner in this mod. A white banner represent the opposition between these two factions.

Are you sure you had not already accepted one? You hve to wait 7 days if you have accepted one and 1 day if you have already asked. There's nothing in the code to stop you from taking the quest regarding your honour.

Once Night's Watch has 100 of faction relation with almost all factions westerosi facitons in the game, every time you take one westerosi lord as a prisioner, your faction will loose ponts of relation with the Night's Watch. After this relation become Negative they will declare war on you. Choosing static wars do not change that.

About the bounty hunter system, I started three new games and I had no problem, even when I choose Outlaw for my father during the character creation. So, forget what I said before. The bounty system looks ok. :D



About the sieges, I've tested sieges against Free Folk, Night's Watch, Lys and the Iron Island and only Pike showed any problem (actually, a lot of problems). Pike has problems no only when you attack the city wall, but also in the second stage of its battle, when you have have to crush the defenders inside the town. During this battle, some of the defenders fall from the rocks directly into the sea and, obviously, you can't go after them because the fall is very high! I took some pictures.

Great work with Lys! I felt like my party was beeig hit by "rain of arrows" when I tried to take the city. The Number of archers was insane! Increasing the garrinson of some Key Locations created a true challenge for all players. I won th battle only because I'm Using a overpowered character to make these tests (strength 999999; agility 200; inteligence 30; charisma 999), but it would be impossible in serious campaing without any alternative strategies like make people starve inside the city.


About party size: are you sure that holding fiefs increse your party? when you ask for a party size report, your fiefs do not appear as a modifier.


One last thing: does anyone find Podrick Payne? Or will he be released in the final version only?

Apparently, there is no problems with dornish sieges and only Stonedance (Dragonstone) had a minor problem with its siege. I don' now how to explain it, I think you can describe it as "White Walls" or "NO color Walls". Well, maybe you understand after looking the pictures below:  :)

PS: I loved the dragonstone armours. Is there any plans to make them a starting people choice in te future? I like stormland soldiers, but I think Dragonstone armours are much better than the ones used by stormlanders.  ;D

Always best to start a new game when testing. Just incase the old saves brings up anomalies.

I think its because they use the imodbit 'crude'. I'm guessing anything that has an imodbit wont use the text to say if its heavy or not. I need to do some testing to see if I can fix this in the future. I'm not sure I will have the time to do so now though.

Ok guys. A massive thanks to all the testers. You have helped find a large number of bugs and issues which I'm sure everyone playing the latest release will be very thankful for.

Hi,
I have some missing textures (for buildings) with 9.9 also there are some lod for some trees wich make them disapear, the bark is invisible

So I installed 9.9 and started a brand new playthrough. Encountering poachers hasn't been fixed I think, I still lose honor and lose relations with the "Commoner" faction. This can easily be fixed by changing the poacher party's allegiance to "Outlaws". Sorry for bringing this up again.

-The Wersterland arbalester has now only 88 of crossbow proficiency. I now some people complain a lot about how dangerous are the Westerland Arbalesters, but they are Westerlands, they must be well trained and dangerous. I tried to use some and they were not as deadly as they were before:

-I don't have an image for this one. If you make Ser Barristan Selmy a  Lord and give him a Fief, he will raise an army of Riverlanders. That is strange, considering house selmy is from The Stormlands. If you make Syrio or Brienne lords, they will raise, respectively, armies of bravosi and stormlanders. Trust me, this is not something random. It happens every game you start. Even Jorah, before being replace by Barristan, always raised an army of northeners.

House of Tarth is from Stormlands, so that would be fine.
Pike always has been problematic, I thought it was fixed a few betas ago but looks like that's not the case, haven't tried myself.
Some proficiencies are not ok, as it happens with westerland arbalesters, imho (Bronn has low level proficiency on one hand swords, f.e.). I suppose produno should be informed of those we think are not good to fine tune it.

The proficiency problem I think is because I gave them too many points in each. I'm going to revise this and make it better. They did actually have 181 in crossbow.

I have changed all companions so they will now hopefully raise an army of whichever faction they are part of. For the player it will be the players culture.

The targ banner is incorrect because I would guess you also chose that banner for yourself?

-Forget what I said about the Westerlands Arbalester, I was playing version 9.8.2 (for testers), not the one you released at MOD DB (9.9), when I took that print screen. I downloaded version 9.9 and they are normal now.   ;D


-Talking about troop balance, I started I new campaing (9.9) and after defeating the wildlings I declared war against the North. While fighting against northerner lords, I noticed
that some northern pikeman didn't carried a spear with them: they had  one  shield and a broadsword, only. Actually, In the start of my campaing, while travelling through Essos to attend tournments, I used the Northern Pikeman against a band of exiled knights and even after i commanded my infantry to use only polearms, some of my Northern Pikeman were still helding broadswords in their hands.

-the targeryan banner is also incorrect in 9.9 and i didn't chose their banner for. I chose the two-headed eagle (not used by any other lord). But the Targeryan vassals are using correct banners, so maybe it is problem only with King Aegon.

- Actually, the targeryan invasion seems a bit brooken in my game. Once they are defeated in battle all the time and I already had a good right to rule, persuading them to join my kingdom was not dificult. But when I did that, i noticed two things:

1) when I go to the character screen, I see that King Aegon Targeryan has left the realm , but his faction has not been defeated yet. Even after the mensage of his landing on the Stormlands, his vassals do not known his location.

2) When I convinced Ser Rolly Duckfiled (house targeryan) to join my faction, he was near Fist of The First Man, with an army of more than 300 men. After he pledged loyalty to me   I went to my court and there I found Ser Rolly Duckfield, now my vassal, but with an army smaller than 100 men. Then I go back to Fist of the First Men and there Ser Rolly Duckfiled stands, still a vassal of king Aegon, with an army of more than 300 men! I talked to him and, surprisingly, he talked to me as one of my vassals! ???
            After that, I called my vassals to assembly the army. The one near Fist of the First Men do not follow. Actually, he doesn't move to any place. The one established in my court follow me normally. I can take a print of them side by side and post here if you want.

PS: I do not remember if he was Jon Lothston or Jon Connington, but the same thing described above also happened with one of them. And trust me I'm in the day 500 and it happened only with house targeryan. Ser Davos and Lord velaryon are also my vassals, but they are ok. (by the way, my intention was to fight fo Stannis, but Dragonstone was defeated before the day 100  :().
