Help & Support / Re: Each Wight is a God
November 26, 2017, 01:15:39 AM
Current implementation of White Walkers & Wights completely ruins the game.  Neither T or H makes your troops use fire arrows.  Your army gets decimated playing out the battle, they get decimated simulating the battle.  The invasion, as of now, is utter, unwinnable bullshit.  I guess by endgame you meant, make you rage quit and never want to play the mod again.  I've seen 3 white walker armies: 1,000/2,000/4,000 strong.  To win a simulated battle you'd need to field an army of 15,000-45,000 fully leveled troops, not possible.  I tried simulating an army of 1,400 against their 2,000 and killed a little over 200 of them.  Broken AF.

It seems that Dornish Heavy Spearmen don't have spears, just scimitars and shields.

Faction blacksmith requires that your relation with that faction be at least 70 points, regardless of your affiliations.
Oh, ok.  I had no idea because the first game I played I had access to the Norths faction blacksmith very early on.  Does that mean you can access other factions faction blacksmith if they like you that much then?

- Cathelyn Stark, Syrio, Ser Baristhan Selmy, Anguy have hair problems and not only hairs. Stats for the compagnions seems broken even in 2.51 ( cf patch logs)

I can confirm that Syrio and Anguy have appearance problems.  Exporting their npc data here is their face codes:
Anguy
face_key_1 = 0
face_key_2 = 50090
Syrio
face_key_1 = 0
face_key_2 = 97000

I'm thinking we could probably fix it on our end before the next update if someone can post valid face keys for them, if you're still using the version prior to 2.5.

Also I noticed that becoming a Reach vassal doesn't unlock the faction backsmith in Highgarden and Oldtown, didn't test the other two cities but probably the same.

For shadow quality do you use Low or High?  And can you clarify what setting you use for ragdolls, since it's a specific number/unlimited.

v2.0 / [2.2] Crashing computer (forced restart)
October 15, 2017, 12:17:47 AM
I've head an issue where while walking around a city my computer gets restarted.  It happened 5 times in Plankytown and once in Volon Therys.
In Plankytown, if instead of going straight to go into the area where the armorsmith and weaponsmith are, you take a left and then follow that path right down the alley it happens.  This spot was repeatable and crashed my computer 3 times.
In, Plankytown, if near the entrance you walk up the stairs to talk to the (I think it was a guard), it happened there, I didn't try to repeat it, I was getting too frustrated. Edit- I tried again tonight, it was repeatable.
In, Plankytown, if near the entrance you head right, it happened there, I didn't try to repeat it, I was getting too frustrated.
I was searching for the guild master but gave up and said fuck Plankytown, that's why I didn't test the second two spots to see if it was repeatable with those.

In Volon Therys, if you head straight out from the castle, it happened there.  I haven't tried to repeat it yet, as it reminded to come report the other crashes from yesterday, the forums where down last nigth went I tried to report them then.

Win 10 up to date, i7, 16GB RAM, 1080 8GB VRAM

v2.0 / Re: 2.2 Runtime Error Crash
October 15, 2017, 12:05:51 AM
I got a ton of these with the steam files, and after switching to the ModDB files and continuing my save started with the steam files, but have only gotten them twice since starting a new game using the ModDB files.
I haven't tried adjust single threading setting.
I've never gotten a CTD with any other M&B mod using Floris, New Dawn, Blood Eagle, Gekukoju, or Brytenwalda.

Been trying a new game for a couple days and have only gotten a couple runtime CTDs and neither was repeatable, so it might be worth instructing people to not migrate their saves if they switch from Steam to ModDB files.

I'm getting runtime CTDs regularly (almost always during screen transitions), and in the case of a battle to take King's Landing it CTDs every time I finish the first battle after hitting tab to proceed.  Here's a link to my save from right before the battle where it's a repeatable CTD, https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0xe8NAN1WxPZUxieFNHOU1RN1k
My game is up to date, I've verified my files with Steam.
I've only used v2.2, first the download from Steam.  The in an attempt for stability after reading there was issues with the steam download, I switched to the the v2.0 and v2.2 hotfix from ModDB.
I've tried with textures on demand on, then tried with off, then tried with on again.
I've turned the cinematic view on town screen setting off.
I've lowered the battle size to 300, even though I've never had an issue running 750 with other mods.
I have an i7, 1080, and 16GB ram
Windows 10 is up to date.
Is there anything else I can try to make the game stable?
I really want to keep playing this because I love the mod, but the frustration with the crashing is unbearable.
I did use my save from starting with the Steam files when I switched to the ModDB files, could that be a problem?
