White Walkers Invasion needs tweeking (spoller warning)

So I have finally had time to get to day 700 for the white walker invasion and quite honestly it is impossible or at least next to impossible to defeat end of, I don't want to hear anything otherwise without video proof you've beaten it because I'm a warband veteran and Ive tried believe me with every advantage I could give myself.

Produno says its so hard because he wants it to be an end game type thing which I agree with but if it cant be done whats the point?

To give you an idea of how much i prepared for this invasion I had all companions and a daughter each with as many valyrian steel swords and obsidian weapons as I could find, the rest had obsidian arrows with the best bows i could find. I had hundreds of nights watch archers (fire arrows equipped) and I had strengthened the nights watch so they had all the free folk fiefs and more lords i sent to them so ser jorah alone had 1000 men let alone the rest of the watch.

So the walkers turned up with over 10000 adding up the night kings 6000 or so and a few other parties of 1500 or so I joined battles with the nights watch and all my banners only to get crushed as each wight is literally a god and they cut through your canon foder infantry like butter soon reaching your archers (the only troops who can do damage other than correctly equipped companions) so the only way to chip the numbers is by retreating everytime they make it to your archers (losing renown/rep/relations etc).

We really need infantry troops who can do damage like specific troops equipped with obsidian spears even if they're hard to get because without infantry that can damage them this cant be done in a way that's enjoyable which lets face it is the name of the game.

I totally agree with that. They're impossible to beat.

And I think Whights and White Walkers have too much health. They are supposed to die/turn into ice after one hit from a dragonglass or valyrian weapon, but it needs several hits to kill them.

Yeah exactly I'm all for them being strong and having good hit points but they need to be killed easier with the correct weapons.

If you mean to drown them I am pretty sure he has or is patching it so its not really viable in the future, unless you just mean to slow them down as an archer advantage?

nonono,I mean battle on the sea, on ships.

the white army will lost their buff. your troop can kill them normaly. This is what i meant.

maybe this is a bug in this version. Ver 3.0.

Why not try

and I also have a question: how many valyrian steel swords in this mod? I olny bought 2. and I only know the lord Randyll Tarly have one which name is heartsbane. But I dont konw how to get this one, except kill Randyll which I dont want to do.

Try to own king's landing and make sure the nights watch is still alive. If so, you can send them to the wall when you become king if the Iron throne. When you send them to the wall you get all their gear.

you need to be king of your own country for that.

When you take Winterfell you'll find Ice in a chest in the courtyard. Maybe it's the same when you take horn hill or other castles/cities of Lords that own valyrian swords, but I didn't try.

I cant find the opinions of sent my lord to the wall, do you mean sent enemy when I catch them ?

The Lord needs to be your prisoner. Then you can choose to kill him or send him to the wall.

Technically, you can defeat a 1000 man army of wights with an army of around 300-400 nights watch rangers if you bait them into attacking you while you are entrenched. You will only face 40-50 wights at a time and if you place your archers strategically you can defeat them. Am trying to test this but getting 300-400 rangers is a pain.

You can beat them but it takes time. You will need to beat them alone. Your companions and army are usless and if they kill 10 in a battle you are lucky. White walkers are as fast as a horse and to beat them you will need fastest horse you can find. Alone you can kill averrage 60 of them per battle before you run out of arrows. Then exit and repeat. I don't see other way. I manged to destroy 1400 of them in about 10 battles. When they got under 700 battle was finished and surprisingly morale of my surviving troops was excellent even after runnig out of all the battles and yes it gets boring but it can be done.
